How long has Server Sonic been in the hosting business?
ServerSonic was created in early 2002. We officially launched to the public in early April of 2002.
How many clients do you currently have?
We are currently host over 60 direct clients of ours, and a total of over 90 domains. We aren't a huge hosting company, but that gives us a distinct advantage. We can offer a level of service that our large competitors can't.
What server platform(s) do you use for your services?
Our operating system of choice is Red Hat Linux 7.3. We currently use the CPanel control panel platform but are always looking into new ideas and we are experimenting with the idea of adding more control panels to our line up
What are you support guarantees?
This is what I tell clients. Many times you will receive a response within an hour or two. Almost always you will get a response within six hours. On occasion, tickets may take up to twelve hours but never more than a day. Our responses are quality responses. These are not just "yes we see you need help and we are getting around to it" emails. From feedback from our customers, our support is one of our strongest points.
What would you say is your company's goals?
Our largest and most important goal is to make our customers happy. That is what our goal since the beginning has been. As long as our customers are happy, than I would say we are a success.
What separates you from other web hosting companies?
ServerSonic differs from other hosting company in several ways. One is the way we treat customers. We try to make our customers feel like a friend. Every time a customer contacts us, they are answered by the same person. As support personnel are added, they will be assigned accounts. This way the person you work with always knows your history with the company. We also differ in the way our business is run. Our prices are probably a little higher than the bargain basement companies. But we buy quality so we can provide quality, and we design our product to be profitable, no matter what. If all of our customers use all of their resources, we will turn a profit, where many other hosting companies wouldn't. This is not because we are trying to rip anyone off; this is so that I as the owner of this company can honestly say, yes, my company will still be here six months, a year, even two years from now. You don't have to worry about us going into debt because we pay in advance for everything; we make sure that we will have the money to continue.
Do you offer any kind of money back guarantee?
Yes we do, if a customer isn't satisfied during the first 30 days of service, they will receive a full refund.
At what level do you see your company in the next 2-3 years?
This is a very interesting question. It is so hard to tell with the rate that technology grows where this market will be in two to three years. However the internet continues to grow, we will head in that direction, and try to be a leader as much as possible. We are currently working on some very different ideas for our company, and we will always be looking for ways to innovate, ways to be different from the thousands of other choices that our prospective and current customers have. I would say if the market stayed as it is right now for the next three years, I see ServerSonic being much more than just a web hosting company. I would see ServerSonic maintaining its close relationship with customers, yet providing a total solution for internet business.
